Window cleaning in Candler Park & Lake Claire.
Candler Park and Lake Claire are the bungalow and Victorian streets between Moreland Avenue, DeKalb Avenue and the Druid Hills line — porches, divided-light sashes and a canopy that keeps the front glass in shade. We work a few minutes north on Clifton Road and around Emory, and cover these streets the same way. Pure-water exterior cleaning, quoted on site, nothing to pay until you have looked.

Bungalows, Victorians and tall rear additions.
Candler Park’s streets off McLendon, Oakdale and Page were built between about 1905 and 1935: Craftsman bungalows with divided upper sashes, a handful of Victorian cottages with tall two-over-two windows, and brick four-squares. Lake Claire, east of the park, is slightly later and a little larger, with the same wood double-hungs and the same deep porches.
Nearly every house has grown at the back. Second-story pop-tops and rear additions bring in casements, sliders and French doors, so a typical house has ten old panes on the street and twenty newer ones over the garden. Anything above the porch roof is done from the ground with a water-fed pole.
Original wood frames and glazing are the reason for the method: a soft brush and deionized water, no soap and no pressure, and a rinse that leaves nothing for the next pollen season to bond to.
Porch shade, pollen and the park’s trees.
The canopy here runs from the park and Freedom Park straight over the house lots, so pollen from late March, poplar honeydew in June, red-clay splash through the storm months and a heavy leaf fall in autumn all land on the windows. Porch-shaded fronts and north-facing frames stay damp and grow the green film that softens old wood if it is left.
Water is soft, so mineral spotting is mild. The work here is organic: pollen, sap, mildew and leaf tannin, all of which lift with a brush and pure water and none of which should ever meet a pressure washer on a hundred-year-old sash.
A few minutes south of our Clifton Road work.
We have not yet completed a job with a Candler Park or Lake Claire address. Our nearest work is on Clifton Road, East Clifton Road and Spring House Cove in Druid Hills, and around Emory, five minutes up the road. We are there most weeks, so a first visit here is easy to schedule.
When to schedule in Candler Park & Lake Claire.
May, after the pollen, and November, after the leaves, cover most houses. Porch-shaded fronts and the streets closest to the park, where the canopy is heaviest, usually add a late-summer visit after the storms to clear clay and the green film.
First-time cleans on hundred-year-old sashes take longer, and we say so in the quote rather than on the day.

Pure deionized (DI) water. No soap film. Less buildup.
Our exterior system filters water down to 0 ppm, removing the minerals that normally dry into spots. It also removes residue and helps neutralize static charge on the glass, making it harder for pollen, dust, and grime to bind back onto the surface.
Many homes stay noticeably cleaner for around three months. Weather, tree cover, sprinklers, and exposure can affect how long the finish lasts.
A coating that keeps glass cleaner, longer.
After the clean, we can apply a clear nano coating that bonds to the glass. Water beads off instead of drying into spots, and dust and pollen sit on the surface instead of sticking — so the glass stays clear for about 3 months, and the next clean is quicker.
Proof, not promises: in lab testing, coated glass collected about half the dust of bare glass,[1] and coatings like this work best in dry climates like ours.[2] It doesn’t clean itself — it needs cleaning less often.

What to expect on service day.
Can you clean tall Victorian windows without a ladder on the siding?
Yes. A water-fed pole from the ground reaches second-story sashes and gable glass. No ladder touches the siding or the sill.
Do you clean the glass behind porch screens?
Yes. Screens come off or swing open, the glass gets cleaned, and the screens are washed before they go back up.
How often do Candler Park houses need it?
Under the park canopy, two to three visits a year: after the pollen in May, after the leaves in November, and for shaded houses a late-summer visit after the storms.
How and when do I pay?
There is no upfront payment. Payment is due after the work is complete and you have had a chance to review it.
How do you price a job?
We quote on site, free, after looking at the actual glass — the size of the home, the number and type of windows, access, and how much buildup there is. You get the number before we start, and it doesn’t change afterwards.
